The skinny: Three nights of Spoon here in Austin at Stubb's, July 9-11. Two different openers each night including Trail of Dead, Low, Atlas Sound, Strange Boys.

Just got one of them good news/bad news things.

The good: The Black, our own Phil/Price of Darkness' band, is playing the afterparty on the last of the three nights of Spoonfest.
The bad: it's a couple days after he leaves town for San Diego to teach a summer rock n roll camp, meaning one of the dudes from Voxtrot will have to pick up the bass for the show.

Dang.
