Just re-watched (one of) the video for CAKE's "Short Skirt, Long Jacket", & I am curious if anyone has taken up tracking down the (purportedly?) random strangers therein.

As it is, I am also curious if the people whose voices are heard on Damien Jurado's Postcards & Audio Letter are aware of the album. Whereas members of a "Real World" or "Survivor" cast indulge their narcissism by willfully agreeing to do the shows, the people on Jurado's disc -- & even, to an extent, CAKE's video -- are thoroughly, or at least largely, anonymous. But they still have their voices &/or faces out their for all to know.

Is there a reason that anyone would actually take the time to do this?
