After listening, I've come to the following conclusions:

1.) If you don't understand the difference between blues technique and playing the blues, you shouldn't try.
2.) Ian Anderson should never sing the blues under any circumstances
3.) The flute is an oft-maligned instrument with a lot of unexplored potential--I'm not sure I hear them used much outside of Celtic music thesde days.
