I'm about to embark on a fine three-day weekend, starting with seeing Harlem and Woven Bones in a little bit.

Nothing too huge planned, other than going to a party/BBQ on Saturday with some bands and kegs of Lonestar. Should be pretty chill with a 78% chance of mongering.
Other than that, trying to avoid having my skin melt off in the Texas heat.

So Obner, waddaya got?

I'm going to an art show tomorrow with DJ's and then have to go to a family wedding on Saturday. I've already heard from others how unamerican it is to have a wedding on that day, and to make it worse it is for a cousin who got knocked up while in high school. Luckily she got knocked up by someone with cash.

Heading to Whistler with the family - going to do the Peak 2 Peak Gondola and some hiking, spend some time in the pool with the 8.5 month old daughter, do some shopping and take a bunch of photos.

Not particularly patriotic to head to Canada for the 4th, but this has become something of a tradition for my wife and I the last couple of years.

Get drunk and blow shit up. Try to get laid if I'm not passed out before I meet up with my date.

I was invited to a 4th of July Block Party...lotsa grub...lotsa bbq. But, I seem to have contracted a crazy cough that's trying to kick the shit outta me. I bought a buncha drugs last night and am hoping to tame the beast before it takes over.

In other words, I may have a low key weekend.

The Fireworks Display is tonight for Lincolnites, since Larry the Cable Guy is filming a Comedy Central Special at the Husker Football Stadium tomorrow. It really pissed a lot of people off, despite the fact that tickets were only $4 and the money is going to charity. A charity which I believe pays for Veterans to go to DC for memorial tours.

Fourth of July Sale, baby yeah!!@

Retail.

Possibility of fireworks with best friend tomorrow night, but it became this big outing with her boyfriend who I do not adore and other friends of her's and all their kids, sooo... there's a chance of drinking alone and listening to the fireworks.

This was pretty much 4th of July for the past 15 years or so for me...

Today I have vaccuumed and steam mopped the kitchen and living room, moved a dog crate and am about to go pick up a rug for the baby's room. FML.

I'll be listening to fireworks hoping the obnoxious neighbors that insist on doing their own fireworks show don't wake the baby.

Yes, I'm lame.

Sloppy as fuck but pretty fun. It was like 100 and humid, which kind of saps the energy you need for a show like that to come off well but I'll definitely go see them again.

I have a shitload of homework to do in order to get me out of the house for the bulk of tomorrow.

Still, I've been kicking around the idea of leading a charge at the British pub next door.

Going to attend the festivities HERE with the family, as usual. Best part - betting quarters on the chicken-shit bingo board. :)
