Booted it up this morning and there's a tab announcing planned Last.fm integration on the Xbox 360. You'll be able to play last.fm stations from the media center. Not sure if/how they'll handle scrobbling though.

I always accused MS of resting on their laurels, but they keep adding value to the 360--if only they treated their OS this way.

They also announced facebook integration--less exciting, but still has the potential to be kinda cool.

Do you have DSL? If your DSL connection requires a password, I don't think the Xbox can do it. Its kinda bizzarre that you couldn't do this with your router.

Twitter? <sigh> I can't wait till that fad dies.

There is a very simplistic diagnostic tool that could solve the problem. I think its under the tab for system settings.

i had it going straight from the dsl modem to the console. so if i have and a modem i should put it through a router to the console instead of straight from the dsl modem?

If I understand what you're saying, yes. (I'm not sure what you meant by "if i have and a modem ")

If you don't have a router, you can get a wired one pretty cheap. Low end wireless ones cost a little more, and still include ethernet ports for wired connections.

If that doesn't work, you might have a bad ethernet cable.
