Forgot, there should be a new thread.

I've really been on a shoegaze/swirl kick lately so I dragged this out and it fit perfectly

That name looks familiar. Did he have something on that Goodbye Nashville, Hello Camden Town comp? If not, where would i recognize his name from. More importantly, is this goog?

And that cover reminds me of

Yeah, I think "I Want A Drink" was on that Goodbye Nashville comp (and that song is from this album). This is his '78 album, backed by the likes of Wilco Johnson, Larry Wallis, and a pre-Pretenders Chrissie Hynde. It's really good in a ragged, drunken, degenerate, pub rock kind of way.

It's up at Sons of the Dolls

Yeah, I'm a sucker for these albums, especially on lazy days or needing something pleasant during the workday like now. This one goes with a countrified vibe throughout much of it with a nice little ska flavored run through Ca Plan Pour Moi. Most of the album retains the laid back charm and reserved sense of cool you got on the other ones, but they toss in a few guest stars. Basically, if you liked the others, you'll probably like this. If not, stay away.
