 Post subject: Band of my former students

Location: viewing the fall....
So, several of my former students have formed a band and have their first fairly big gig in just over a week. All of these guys, with the exception of one, are still in high school. I'd like for you who like/can handle heavier music to give them a listen here and let me know what you think.

i certainly never would have thought to blend metal and trance. sounds really well done for what it is, whatever it is.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. They've actually been toying with this "style" for a few years as they grew into playing their instruments. The guy on keyboards is the oldest (freshman in college), and also the most accomplished musician. This is probably the biggest factor for their style being what it is.

Yeah, keep it coming. And yeah, Dale to thread. I can't see Rads or Rod pissing on this if it was on fire.

Obviously, they're working in some more modern metal and hardcore influences, but something about the specific way they mix the electronic elements with the guitar reminds me a lot of Fear Factory. Probably not what they're going for, but not necessarily a terrible thing.
