This is the first round of the tournament stage. Please vote for the album that you feel should move on to the second round.

To encourage as many votes as possible, the deadline to vote will be Thursday at 2:00PM Eastern.

Now this is a tough one.
But, as I've kinda London-ed myself out, I am going with Moz and the gang.

Before you guys vote for the favorite here, just remind yourselves that the Smiths album would be way less intrusive while you unload your pain in your dog-eared diary.

My love of cheeseburgers requires me to vote Clash.

eh, i don't really care. Both are good but highly overrated albums with lots of filler.

smiths - really like both. Not exactly sure what the filler is on TQID.

On somedays, I'd say its mostly meh. But on most days, I'd say "Vicar in a Tutu", "Never Had No one Ever", the title track, "Frankly, Mr. Shankly" and "Some Girls are Bigger than Others" are pretty weak.

"Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others" is good, though.

its amusing for 5 seconds and then just drones on and on. not. very. good.

Makes me realize that as much as I'd like to see something knock off LC, i can't really vote for TQID.

I honestly don't think it's a better album, but I voted underdog.

"Frankly Mr. Shankly" is one of my favorite songs.

But "Never Had No One Ever" is one of the few Smiths songs that fits the tedious sadfuck template they mostly don't actually fit into, despite more than a quarter century of people claiming so.

My least favorite Smiths song, other than some of the weak early demos and obscurities that aren't very good.

The Smiths, I'll take Moz over "The Only Band That Matters".

I don't mind these, but I really hate the title track. For me the album begins at 'Cemetary Gates'. But I still like Clash better.

Man, i love the title track. It's one of my favorite Smiths tracks. I love the lyrics.

I guess i could see "Never had no one ever" as somewhat filler but I almost never skip any tracks when i listen to the album.

Of course this is coming from the guy who really loves Strangeways.

i really don't like the title track either. And Strangeways is much better than TQID as a whole IMO.
