If she is thinking about 2012, she definitely is crazy.
After Krauthammer and company have taken her to task recently for her petty fights with bloggers and not being a legitimate contender, I think she's decided to quit politics and cash in on her commercial appeal.
She could probably be a Conservative Oprah or start Fox New's answer to The View.
I don't know how any person could back her presidential election attempt after she quit being Governor of a state like Alaska.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. She said something about not wanting to waste 'millions of taxpayer dollars' which makes me think that something hearing-worthy and possibly impeachable is not far behind.

Repubs will derail her before she hitches caboose to their train . . . if they're smart. Or, they use her and her sheep to moderate towards another candidate. It surprises me the amount of viability she gets in the press[Kristol] or is it just newsworthiness? Every insightful Repub I know wants her to disappear. Maybe it is the dirt under her skirt.

Well the narrative amongst her fanbase is that she's a wonderful, caring, godly woman who is being smeared and wronged by a vicious and brutal press.

Which is laughable, delusional and casts their heroine in a lady-victim role that only adds to the thousands of reasons she's not qualified to lead.

someone's dad was trying to convince me this weekend that not only is she not dumb but that she's still a great fundraiser for the gop. i don't know, i definitely think she's dumb as a box of rocks. . . is it possible she's one of the better fundraisers for the right? this *can't* be true can it?

She is one the best fundraisers, but has pissed off some people from the GOP over being selective and dropping out from some speaking gigs for the party.
Stupid and/or Crazy, she draws huge crowds of people, thus just one the reason she might be eying a television career. Her creepy folksy, gun nut for family values shtick is huge with a substantial part of the Republican base.

I also want to add that I began watching Tucker Carlson, Dick Morris and some African American woman commentator (Most likely the token liberal) discuss her resignation on Hannity last night. Dick Morris and the token liberal were the only rational folks. Hannity was trying to say it is no worse for Palin to resign than it was for President Obama and certain members of his cabinet to leave their elected positions for positions in the Presidential Administration. Hannity even implied it was much more worse for Obama to be paid to be a Senator while campaigning for President than it is for Palin to quit on her commitment.
