ive decided id like my own website. ive already got a place that can host it for free, but it seems like everybody charges for domain names. im trying to do this for as small a cost as possible (aka free). does anyone know where i can get a free domain name? or am i going to have to cough up the dough?

i've never seen anywhere let you do it for free. it's like $9 a year or something.

Do a google search for "free domain names" and poke around for a while. I don't think you can get a ".com" or ".net" for free, but there are other possibilities.
