I want the Clash to lose, but I had to vote for them this round. I just like more tracks on London Calling than I do Sticky Fingers.

Stones obviously, but London Calling will probably destroy it.

Stones 18 - 8 Clash

Yup. Real destructive force, that London Calling.

London Calling is pretty damn great, but there's not much that can come close to the end-of-the-road decadence of Sticky Fingers. The only place to go afterwards was Exile and if the Stones had been human that's the point that should've marked 4 out of 5 of them dead.

Well said. As great as Exile is, Sticky is their "I can't fathom how they even made that record" record.

Or to quote a text I got from Derris on July 5 @ 3:46am: "Moonlight mile is possibly the best song of all time"

As far as the Clash go, I like plenty of their songs but they've never truly blown me away. Sticky Fingers is amazing, so it was an easy choice for me.

Sticky Fingers.

For Moonlight Mile. For Sway. For Wild Horses. This is the best Stones record.

And triple extra death points for beginning an album with:

Gold coast slave ship bound for cotton fields,
Sold in a market down in new orleans.
Scarred old slaver know hes doin alright.
Hear him whip the women just around midnight.
Ah brown sugar how come you taste so good
