This is the first part (the group stage) in Obner's efforts to pick the best album released in the 2000s. In the group stage, there will be 64 groups of 5 albums. The top vote-getter in each group will advance to the 64-album tournament.

Please vote for the album that you feel deserves to be in the tournament. The deadline for this group is Monday, July 27 at 1:00PM Eastern Time.

In Rainbows, I have only listened to parts of Arular and couldn't tell you a track on those other three without cheating.

haven't heard fiery furnaces, isis bores me and joanna newsom is kind of awful.

I don't know why some bands totally annoy me... usually something that is overwrought, precious, or what I can Baroque n Roll.... degenerating but not in a fun way. I tried, but I truly hate Fiery Furnaces and that Newsome woman.

I voted In Rainbows, but without much enthusiasm.
