For my membership to NPR, I got this as a thank you gift:
Like Oh My God! I Can't Live Without It: Live From Sound Opinions, Vol. 1

Quote:
This exclusive collection features live in-studio performances by musical guests. Hosts Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot handpicked the tracks as a gift to their loyal listeners and public radio members.

Tracklist:
Mission of Burma - 2wice
Robyn Hitchcock & The Venus Twins - Olé! Tarantula
Buddy Guy - Louise McGhee
Jason Lyttle - Disconnect
the Swell Season - Falling Slowly
Jenny Lewis w/ the Watson Twins - Rise Up With Fists!!!
Peter, Bjorn, & john - Young Folks
The Besnard Snakes - Devastation
The Effegies - Mob Clash
Parts & Labor - The Gold We're Digging
Jon Brion - Knock Yourself Out
The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Pt. 1

(all live in the studio at the show. cool!)

Giving it a first listen now. And am really looking forward to hearing Whiney on there, most of all. I just wish that it had better notes regarding recording dates and such. And maybe a little commentary from the guys.

Whiney = Parts & Labor
I believe that he's the drummer.
And, it's a pretty cool song. First I've really heard them (shame on me) and I think I need to investigate more.

Since there are no recording dates in the notes (fuckers), I'm not sure whether or not this is from when he's still in the band. Although, the songwriting credits do include his name. So, I'm assuming that he's on the recording.

I think Whiney was still in the band at the time of that recording.

That live Peter, Bjorn, & John track is incredibly disappointing.
I love the song in its better-known incarnation, but this version sounds positively anemic. There is no arrangement. The vocals are weak. And the whistling that is so central to the song sounds like it's being done by an asthmatic 2-year-old.
Bummer.
