So Sonia's in now.

I haven't noticed apocalypse yet, but maybe it takes more than half an hour for Teh Hispanics to take over.

Bobby Byrd voted for her. Hoo-ah, Bobby.

I ain't buying that.

First off, even if it was "invented" in america, i'm betting it wasn't by descendents of lutherans, presbyterians, or catholics from europe. Call it a hunch.

Secondly, how can you prove it wasn't invented in Mexico? And why wouldn't you want to take credit for it even if it wasn't?

I've had burritos in Mexico, they're different, and simpler but they're amazing.

O.k. a quick look online has several possible starting points for the burrito, some as early as 1910 in Mexico, others as late as 1934 in L.A. but that instance is the first time it was in print in America. No word about it being in print elsewhere.

Anyhow, i'm not sure how the burrito started, but i'm glad it's here, whether it's mexican or not.

i'm not sure where the OG burrito was invented, but i've read that the $5 giant foil-wrapped monstrosity that's a pothead favorite was a san francisco thing

Justice Sotomayor is of Puerto Rican heritage, not Mexican.

Also, if the burrito wasn't invented in the US, it was perfected here:
