I've been loving the first single from this album for a minute now, Seeds of Night, and while I don't listen to a lot of folk music or things in this vein (of which their particular flavor can be pretty menacing) I'm getting into the album pretty steadily. The singers voice can take on an annoying timbre but on the whole I like it quite a bit in that "mellow but not TOO mellow" bit. It's coming out on Matador pretty soon I guess. has anyone seen them live or heard the ep that they put out before this?

well ol' joey crack may be the only one interested, but the new one, welcome joy, is streaming over at rhapsody. on first listen, easily as good as invitation songs. criminally overlooked band here.
