Hopefully the last time I will ever vote for this MMJ album for anything.

My second abstain of the day as I really don't know either of these albums.

Just getting that out of the way... Not that I agree or disagree, but I know it'd be coming. Might as well get the discussion moved on, then.

Voted DBT, but would not be sorely disappointed with MMJ winning -- It is in my top 10.

Going MMJ due to a few clunkers on this DBT and I've always known DBT isn't for everyone. This MMJ is just really good.

I *think* so. Decoration Day was in the running earlier. Can't remember if it was defeated or not.

Is 'It Still Moves' really better than 'Dirty South'?

I've not heard it but I have heard 'Evil Urges' which is a humiliation of 2,500 years of Western culture.

MMJ have changed a whole lot over the course of their past several albums, and generally for the worse, IMO. I couldn't make it all the way through Evil Urges, but It Still Moves is a pretty good album that sounds like it was made a different band. At Dawn, the album before that, is excellent.

Even on the catchy songs from that album they slip in these lyrics about soul-searching and religion that make me angry. "Faith can prove what science can't resolve" indeed.

I know some will violently disagree here but I think MMJ might be the best band to come out of this decade.

Not because they're my favorite, because they aren't (although they're up there), but because it just seems that they have had such a wide appeal.

Everyone seems to like different albums by them more than their others and people with wildly varying tastes like at least one of their albums.

Also, no one I've talked to that has ever seen them live says they aren' t great in that setting.

Just some mental vomit for you....

That really bothers you? It seems you're pretty close minded about what even those lyrics can mean.

I know. Jim Jam could be saying that Murphy Brown & Hope & Faith actress Faith Ford is the woman with the answers.
