I read a book about 60 minutes someone gave me and yes, he was a real dickhead...but so was just about everybody else on that show, especially Mike Wallace. Wallace told Ed Bradley when Bradley first joined that if the show started to decline it would be his fault. Basically they were all super-competitive dickheads who didn't much care for each other. But it worked on TV.

And Don Hewitt tried to FUH just about every female he saw. Master of television production and design though.

A twofer, actually. Either Olbermann & O'Reilly dying in the middle of a sixty-nine, or Olbermann killing Rachel Maddow, then offing himself. (If he cannot have her, no one will.)
