You listen to this album?

Storsveit Nix Noltes – Royal Family – Divorce

Personally, I love it. I think it may be an acquired taste, and frankly is a little odd at times. Given your love for Beirut and the Balkan music, you may enjoy this, although it is amazingly different than Beirut. I am at work now and can't up any tracks at this point, but maybe later tonight I can update this thread. Notable tracks:

Krivo Sadovsko Horo
Pajdusko
Trakijska Racenica (probably my favorite--it's those damn trumpets I tell ya)

Originally released in December 2007 in Iceland, 2009 sees the rest of Europe allowed into the fold for this enticing Balkan flavoured folk odyssey. Storsviet translates as ‘big band’ and this ensemble is made up of 11 of Icelands premier talents. Featuring members of múm, Benni Hemm Hemm, Lost in Hildurness, Númer Null, rúnk, Kanada, Hestbak and Kria Brekka, the players have melded themselves into a fearsome troupe and produced a simply sensational album of slavic folk.

Went to Amazon and listened to the samples there.
Am I mistaken, or are those samples playing back at the wrong speed? REEEEEELEEEEE fast.

If that's the case, I'm not so sure that I could take it. It'd probably give me seizures.
