May he rest in the company of the saints,
and his brothers, sisters, and children with him.

And may the country get a fucking clue and pass healthcare reform to honor his life of service...

shit. I wish I wasn't half drunk. He accomplished more than any of his brethren got a chance to, and he did it with drunken gusto (MC).

He will be missed.

The Dream Will Never Die, indeed.

True story -- Teddy was the one who had to tell Joseph P. about Jack getting shot in Dallas. Joseph P was debilitated by a stroke, and was barely hanging on himself. He looked up at Ted through the one eye that still worked. He motioned him closer. Ted leaned down so he could here and Old Man Joe said "It shoulda been you, Teddy."

I hope he's toasting Mary Joe at Heaven's Bar.

He definitely knew it was coming quick with wanting the successor rule changed in MA once again. He probably lived 20-40yrs longer than he should have with the Kennedy curse around him.
It was a pleasure meeting him in DC during my high school trip and I think I still have his publicity photo somewhere.
RIP Ted

All morning on the local sports talk radio station here in Dallas, they've played that audio clip from when Teddy introduced the noted baseball stars "MIKE McGWIRE and SAMMY SOOSER!"

hilarious

That's a fucking horrible story. Or rather, a fucking horrible thing for a father to say to his son.

And, really now, a pretty Weekly Standard post on the death of one who may have been the most productive Senator in US history...

1. Ha ha, you are mortal.
2. Your father shit on you.
3. I won't let you forget you killed that young girl.

Nice.

Because no Georgian nor Alabaman, nor any Southern, pretty much, Senator has ever had skeletons in the closet.

I mean, if they did, when Ol' Strom died, LooG would have been making greyscale* jokes.

*Interracial, as in porn. Fucking, that is.

Kennedy spent the last quarter century of his life owning up for his personal failures. That's better than most people do. But these are people who still think Jane Fonda is a 25 year old radical in Barbarella clothes.

Side note: Right wing people from childhood who argue politics and casts insult on Facebook status updates - not their status updates but MINE - do you really think I'm required to keep you on my friends list? Really? Take your b.s. to your own updates.
