Like, you know how everybody, when they think of particular albums, think of the one or two singles, and maybe the one or two "popular" choices of non-single tracks?

What are your favorite songs off of popular albums, that aren't the popular songs, but that are your favorites nonetheless.

Example (and the inspiration for the thread):
The Harder They Come (OST)...
favorite sleeper track:
"Sweet and Dandy" - The Maytalls
(is there really a sleeper track on there?)

I think that most of us are. That's why I want to hear about some of your favorites.

I don't think it's possible for the Harder They Come sndtrk to have a sleeper. But even if did, I don't think it' be the song you see being recorded in the movie.

I don't know, I think "Help the Aged" by Pulp is one of those songs that I really disliked for a long time and then grew to love.

also, every Ween song named after a disease.

Never saw the movie.
I suppose that I should remedy that.

holy shit, yes. the movie itself has plenty of flaws, but it's still set in Kingston at its best and worst, and you get to see some of these studios that were used to record everything back then and the circus that was going on around them.

Here's the scene with "Sweet & Dandy"

I always thought that Jesus etc was the best song on Yankee Hotel Foxtrot but I guess that not really a sleeper.

Good one. Definitely one of my favorite U2 songs.

Red Hill Mining Town from Joshua Tree is another sleeper.

My sleeper on The Harder THey Come is absolutely Draw Your Brakes by Scotty.

How about from XTC's Skylarking; Sacrifical Bonfire

Elvis Costello's This Year's Model; Lipstick Vogue

Beggar's Banquet - Jigsaw Puzzle

The Velvet Underground - I'm Set Free

The Velvet Underground & Nico - Sunday Morning

The Smiths' Meat is Murder - Rusholme Ruffians

I was about to name that very song.

While on the U2 tip: "Tremor Christ" from Vitalogy and "In My Tree" from No Code are some sleepers from PJ.

Love that song

I would say Pet Sounds "I Just Wasn't Made for These Times" is another.

Candyfloss on Summerteeth - Wilco's best song.

Song always sounded like it could have been made by the Beach Boys or Animal Collective to me...

I think "Ultraviolet Way" is the real sleeper there.
