After two listens, moves into top 3 consideration for cd of the year in 2006.

www.myspace.com/jucifer for some clips....out in the US on 9/5

The infamous Jucifer has returned with its long-awaited new full-length 'If Thine Enemy Hunger....Hunger', the Athens, GA power -duo's first proper album in almost four years, serves up an unforgettable collection of the melodic, bombastic rock that is their calling card. The dreamy, seductive vocals of the gorgeous Amber Valentine melt into monolithic walls of guitar and pounding drums (courtesy of wildman Edgar Livengood) to form the most infectious heavy rock you will ever hear. With a sound as big as the hooks it's 15 tracks carry, If Thine Enemy Hunger is a total eargasm and vibrant return to form by one of the US's most unique rock bands.

FUCK YES!!

I used to rock "Calling All Cars on the Vegas Strip" all the time in college.

Openly the loudest shows I've ever been too and done by only 2 people.

the problem with jucifer live is that the club sound is never loud enough to defeat the wall of cabinets, hence the almost complete lack of audible vocals.
i asked amber about the cabinets the last time they played up here, & she said they just didnt buy anything else for years.
practical.
i like that in a woman.

They play Nashville this week. Considering it. I've never seen them live despite about 10 chances to do so.

One of of the loudest fucking shows I have ever went to. I am actually wearing my Jucifer shirt today. It is the only show I think I could put on par with the supposed loudness of Mogwai. I wear earplugs to almost every show, and my ears still hurt occassionally at this show due to the noise. The whole floor rumbled and shook from the reverb.
I do agree that you cannot hear hardly any vocals.

not for nothin', but the last time i saw mogwai, they really werent that loud. i think that doggie's bark is a wee bit bigger than its bite.

uh, so my buddy in portland just sent me an email that he went to see a band that this dude we went to jr/sr high was in. he'd recently friended him on facebook. ol' ed livengood -- he was your typical teenage loner/freak. ok, i figure he must be in some crappy band that no one has heard of.

what the fuck. had no fucking idea. had always heard this band name but never opened a thread or listened to them at all. pretty weird.
