I have $25 to spend.
And I always space what it is that I want once I finally have some money to spend on these things.
(Are you surprised?)

I've been thinking about Chelsea Girl (Nico), Caetano Veloso's s/t 1969 album, or maybe the new Yo La Tengo (although what I've been hearing about that one has made me cautious).

So, what OTHER music is there that I should consider?
What new stuff? Old stuff?

I always find it fun to make recs. like this.
Now it's your turn.

Thanks, in advance.

Buying online or in-store? If in-store, unless yr store hasn't been reformatted like mine, I doubt you'll find much back-catalog stuff. I wish they would bring back those buy 2 get a 3rd free deals, because if you hunted and pecked through the stacks, you could find some really good deals.

I'm guilty of using gift cards to buy other people gifts before. Is that considered re-gifting?

Why that one? While I'd recommend it over your other two ideas, I wouldn't really say its one of his better albums. I'd recommend s/t (1971), transa (although you probably have), bicho, cinema transcendental, joia, or either of his last two albums over that one.

man, it took me forever to figure out what to use my border's card on, because everything i wanted there i could get more cheaply -- often by half -- from amazon. ultimately i got the new york trilogy by paul auster and the brief wondrous life of oscar wao by junot diaz.

what i really wanted (and eventually bought with an amazon gift card) was on food and cooking (the science and lore of the kitchen).
