Titled "Third".

The album has 11 tracks and is 49 minutes 13 seconds long.

Source.

Let's all rejoice and hope for some leakage soon.

I guess I can finally refer to it as my most anticipated release of 2008, rather than look upon it as a "will they or won't they" type of thing.

I predict it will be good, but all the hip people will trash it because trip hop is so passe. So, I'm looking forward to it.

I doubt it will even sound "trip hop".

I am curious how it will sound, but fully expect critics to have their knives out and ready.

They performed 5 new songs at their ATP festival appearance last month and they were quite good. Some were more on the electronica side then trip hop.

They still got it.

After reading this post later in the day, I have no idea why I said this. How the hell do I know if it will be bad? I've liked all their previous work.

It appears that a DVD of this set has surfaced tho I don't know the source. I suppose I could look into it. PM me.

Your comments have me hopeful, Jed. Fingers crossed. ;)

I'm so tired... Of Playin... Playin with this bow & arrow...

I LOVE Dummy, but I get a bad feeling about this. I guess they've just been hyping it for too long... "We're thinking about making a new album. Now we're definitely thinking about it. Now we're going to do it, probably. No, for sure. Now we're writing songs. Now we're in the studio. Yup, we're in the studio. Oh, it's gonna be good. We're in the studio. We're looking at a release this year. Next year. No, this year. It's coming, we swear. It's almost here..."

Too many press releases can have the opposite of the intended effect on me.

Have they really made press releases on the potential album or has NME been badgering them for the last 7 years and they refuse to say "no comment"?

You know- you may have a point there... it is NME providing me with the Portishead play by play.

Do they owe Peter Cetera royalties for the album title?

Seems a bit out of character for NME to have such a long attention span.
