Why does PowerPoint shut down on my constantly? I have the 2007 version and it makes me want to break my computer every time I use it.

I assume you mean underwear and not flip flops.
They serve a functional purpose, avoiding the dreaded VPL (visable panty line). I don't really advocate them as sleepwear however.

I'll answer this: they like to imagine that everyone that follows them really, truly cares about them. They are self-absorbed attention seekers and Twitter is the best thing ever for these people.

Others use it to mass text friends and I know that concert promoters use it to alert people to last minute changes, et al

rarely do I "ride" around Brooklyn, it's a very big place. I don't often venture into the areas referenced in rap songs but I will say that Jay Z mentions a "stash box" on State St. in "Empire State of Mind" which is quite close to my current residence. I feel this speaks more to gentrification than my ghetto cred.
