They sell mytouch shells on T-Mobile's website, but I haven't seen them up close.

I use the G1 version of this hard case, but I don't use the screen protector:

I've never dropped my phone, but the case feels pretty sturdy and looks decent.

by far, the best mobile device i've owned. never had a dropped call, and love the customization of the phone. Android rules.

Unless you need a hard case for heavy-duty use, or a belt clip, invisible shield is all you will ever need. I've had the same one on my Ipod for 3 years, and it doesn't have a scratch. And I tend to carry my Ipod in my pocket along with loose change, and sometimes, keys.

I could never put the keys in the same pocket as the phone.

i was going to try that invisible shield, but i have absolutely zero faith in my abilities to put this on without fucking it up along the way. i watched the video of applying it and i guess it looks easy enough. is it?

They didn't have the videos yet when I had to put mine on my Ipod. As I remember, the instructions were text-only and a bit vague. I haven't watched the video yet but I'm sure it makes it much easier.

But it really isn't very hard. They're like the old water decals you used to have for plastic models. You have plenty of time to position things correctly before it sets. I'm not very dexterous and I didn't have trouble getting it right. After it sets, your device is scratch-proof.

Its never on purpose. I usually move it to another pocket once I notice. The stuff is good, but there's no reason to tempt fate.

Weren't you supposed to trim it to the size of your screen?

That review is awesome. "You have to squeegee off all this damn juice." LOLZ

nope its all cut to the size of the different sections of your phone. a good concept in general, but fuck if it wasnt a huge bitch to apply.

in retrospect, i probably should have saved the screen protector, which they do sell separately. i threw it away with everything in a fit of white hot rage

I use a Skinomi screen protector for my Pre and it wasnt hard to apply and works really great. Just took about 10-12 hours to let it dry, which wasn't a huge deal.

Its available for MyTouch, though not sure if you are going to be going that route still.
