Not much has changed in 6 years since "Mastered By Guy At The Exchange". The sound is very much the same. Sugary vocal production, sharp lyrics, sharp phrasing, complicated and colourful everything. It spends the whole record in a timbre all its own, great instrumental stretches. So bizarre but lovable. This goes really well with Sunday too-much coffee.

Hadn't listened to Mastered By...in forever prior to this thread. Thanks for the reminder of how good that record was. Am now looking forward to hearing this one.

listening to this for the first time now. it's pretty cool. i love erratic beats and synths, and they come together well here.

he's playing with deastro tonight. i'm not sure if i want to go or not. anyone seen either of them live?

seen max tundra. he's a little gimmicky because he's a one-man act, but he really puts a lot into a show and does his best to entertain. and some of his cover song choices are tremendous.

i listened to some max tundra earlier and that made up my decision not to go.

i think i'm gonna go see white denim tomorrow instead.

like i was saying, it was an empty room last night, but i enjoyed him very much. same comments as z. not a laptop in sight. his voice sounds surprisingly amazing. his moves are spastic. i smiled and laughed the whole set. i was impressed, and (de)mystified, having loved mastered by guy at the exchange for years. deastro i might have liked if there were more people there. that was a first listen to them.
