Nothing makes me happier than free apps for my iPod Touch. Particularly games that normally cost money. Someone had the brilliant idea of the Appvent Calendar... it is a website set up like an advent calendar. Each day in December up through Christmas Eve will feature a free application--probably most of them will be games, but who knows?

Each game will only be available for free on the day of its unveiling... so today the first game was unveiled (33rd Division), so it will only be free for today. I figure enough people have iPhones/ipod Touches to make highlighting this site worthwhile.

weird. the site works for me. Whatever the case, the free app is a game called TriDefense. Apparently it is a tower defense game with adjustable terrain.
