Why aren't many bands this good anymore?

I think my favorite is either "Riot Squad" or "We Will Not" from that CBGB show.

now, there's a band that needs a reunion tour! i would love to see Ride these days.

there have been rumblings about this, but mark gardener solo shows are essentially half-ride shows these days. and i think everyone else is in another band, or at least subs with someone else.
