Call me old-fashioned, but why is this billionaire douche making the news? Is it benefitting tsunami relief? Hot air balloons circumventing the globe and land speed records (and NASA for that matter) make no sense to me. We might as well spend time building a Paul Bunyon-size chocolate bunny landmark. And none of that hollow shit, either.

To answer your question, I don't.

BUT, if it somehow does advance the pursuit of commercial space travel (for earth travel) it MIGHT be worthwhile but I don't think this did that.

He's rich and, for some god forsaken reason, he wants to fly a long distance in a balloon. Let the man have his fun/glory/whatever. You don't have to respect him, but you do have to accept him, or at least his accomplishment.
