i think it's probably close to half of the site is figure drawing these days. it's probably my favorite section on there.

MOST of these were in groups of 5 or 6 people paying the model. There are a couple where the model paid me to draw solo style.



I think this pace doesn't allow for over-analyzing, that's usually a positive. I'm not thinking about what I'm going to make, I'm just plowing through it.
Though sometimes it means a sloppy drunk drawing at 2am when I go "oh fuck, my god damn update"

also, like with anything else...the more you do ... it's inevitable that you get better at it. or at least i think i'm improving.

From what I can tell, it's broadened your stylistic palette, and more confident lines and such.
Has it helped you with sales/fans/exposure?

Cool. I recognize some of that.

it definitely helps with that. though i would say that showings result in more sales per year than the site does. but then the site helps me get showings...

i've never really promoted it well though... which im going to have to do this winter since im losing some of my employment.

Which, I meant to ask Cats--is that a template or did you develop that portfolio yourself? 'Cause its a lot easier to navigate than most bigger artists' websites. I dig it.

it's a wordpress blog. i wrote the php page templates and the css from scratch.
im looking for work if you know anyone that wants to make their blog look less like a blog.

i still want to make shopping easier. list the price right under the thumbnails ... give shoppers some sort by price options etc..
probably won't take long to figure out how but it will be a super pain to implement and update 1,500+ posts.

There's 1.5 songs in the video.
Both are songs from my band Bird Sounds 2008 demo.
First one is "Money and Bones" and the other half song is "Rot"
We'll be working recording some 7's with current line up with finished/better songs this spring.
