How is that Bloodkin? I remember reading a review of it by David Fricke in RS but totally forgot to track it down.

What it is just a great rock'n'roll record with a decidedly southern bent, with great lyrics from guys who have obviously paid their duesand lived to tell about it.

It's Patterson Hood album of the year, which should tell you alot.

Has 3 songs from the album, but they are kind of scattered throught the selection.

They were ok the 2 nights I saw them open for DBT. I don't their think their set moved me enough to go out and get the record. I was intrigued that the 2 founding members were from WV though.

Also, that Justin Townes Earle record...I still haven't listened to it. Seems right up my alley though.

I still haven't heard that Deer Tick record...but judging by all the praise, I should.

I didn't know Ryan Bingham had an album this year either. It's good I guess?

It came out in June. A must hear.

I saw him this past October.

What a force the Dead Horses are live.

Yeah, they've been around FOREVER and Panic has always played some of their songs ("Henry Parsons Died", "Can't Get High", "Makes Sense To Me" etc.)
