I'm looking to create some 45 second samples of some songs for use on my website.
I downloaded Audacity which everyone said is the easiest way to go.
With the newborn here, I really don't have the time, platience, or energy to go through the manual to make this happen.

I have been able to import the song I want to use into the program.
I'd like to create an MP3, of the first 45 seconds of each song and have it fade out at the 45 second mark...
Does anyone know where i can find a easy step by step to accomplish this? Or cansomeone list the 3-4 steps I need to to do?

muchas gracias

1. open song

2. click down at 45 seconds and drag backward to the end of the song (you'll see it highlight)

3. hit delete on your keyboard

4. select the last 5 seconds of the song, go up to effects>fade out

5. save file as mp3

what he said...except you dont save it, you export as mp3

and you will probably need to download lame_enc.dll or at least point Audacity to the dll if you already have it
