Hails to Tony Iommi especially for creating one of the most important genre's of music, and inspiring millions to create some outstanding music over the years.

I'm hoping this is grounded in irony. Seriously.

It is a great album but it sprouted one of the worst genres ever known. Metal went downhill after 1975

you can't be serious. if so, then you don't follow heavy music very closely.

Never been a huge fan of theirs but I like "Paranoid" better.

I liked that record for about a week and a half after it first came out. Then I made the fatal mistake of listening to it without smoking a bunch of dope first.

It's been a long time since I've listened to that album, but I remember not liking it as much as Paranoid.
Still... life is better with a little bit of Ozzy thrown in.
And, Tony Iommi kicks my ass.

I honestly don't think I have heard it, but I also honestly think you can't discount its contributions to the trajectory of music over the ensuing years.

I really do need to listen to this one again. It's been probably 20 years since I've last heard it.

Terrible music has come from plenty of other places.

I'm not a metal fan, but there are enough metal albums that I like that I'm not going to begrudge Black Sabbath their legacy. Also there have been plenty of good non-metal bands/albums that have counted Sabbath as an influence.

I prefer Paranoid as well actually. In fact, it is the reason I'm so obsessed with music. My uncle gave it to me when I was a kid, and it just blew me away. After that, music was where it was at.
