Maybe the ultimate 90's ironic hipster filmmaker. Yeah, even moreso than Linkleiter.
Any fans here?
I can't remember seeing him bantered about at all around these parts. But then again, there are a lot of things that I don't remember.
I liked his 90's movies a lot, but haven't seen anything by him since Henry Fool. Are the newer ones worth seeing?

And, of course, I had the hots for Adrienne Shelly, just as my wife had the hots for Martin Donovan all throughout the decade.

I remember his movies being somewhat interesting, but I really don't remember any of the details. They were constantly on IFC.

Well, Fay Grim is the sequel to Henry Fool, so if you've seen HF, then it would be worthwhile. I'm 50/50 on his films, personally. I don't think he's as revolutionary a filmmaker as others make him out to be, but that might just be my problem.

Loved the movie "Amateur"... perfect mix of original movie and outstanding soundtrack.
