I bite mine in the car and throw them on the floor boards - and then get disgusted when I see them. It's a conundrum.

I consulted in information systems during the early 90's, back when no one in IT in had any social skills. I had a cube near a guy with gingivitis, so I've seen the flossing thing. After some of the stuff I've been through at various sites, clipping fingernails seems kinda tame.

It's not just a "home" thing but rather a "bathroom" thing where all personal hygiene should take place.

This should only be done in an emergency if you just ripped your nail and need to stop the pain. You only get one free clip at your desk before you should take it to the bathroom.

I used to work with someone who kept a nail clipper on their keychain. We'd be talking, and they'd just whip it out and start clip-clip-clippin'.

I always do my clipping at work, though only when nobody else is around. When I was was off for a couple weeks recently, I was actually looking forward to getting back to the office, if only to prune the claws.
