Candidate skipped on call time...staff is all out checking on campaigns.

I have Love You Live on the stereo, feet propped on the desk and I'm dressed to kill:

But for a Doctor's Appointment this afternoon, I would lock up the office and go foraging for strong drink.

I really have nothing to do and nothing planned, and can barely walk. What's on tap for y'all?

Parents are coming into town, and I'm actually looking forward to it. They haven't seen the baby since she was a fussy 6-week-old, and she's a lot more fun now. Plus I know they'll be more of a help than a burden, and maybe my dad and I can get a few projects done around the house. Or at least he can help me figure out what to do about a couple of things. And we'll be grilling and going out to eat and stuff, and I'll get a break from my brother-in-law for the first weekend in about a month.

But right now, yeah, just trying to make it through the day. Tons of work to do - stuff I like doing, even - but hard to concentrate on it.

Helpful parents are great. My wife's parents are great at stuff like that. Mine....not so much.

Exactly who is the intended victim?

I'm spending the weekend getting ready for 2 weeks in Kuala Lumpur, starting Monday.

Trying to last out the work day...then met up with a girl after work for a while, then head to an art opening, then drinks with friends at my regular bar. Tomorrow, set up hammock in back yard and start working on getting my garden ready while bar-b-quing some ribs with a friend. Then, head to see some music later after a nap and probably drink too much and end up at some fetish party going on until 3 in the morning. Sunday will be a day of rest.

Today: Got a working lunch, analysis all afternoon, picking up some really fine local pizza for dinner and then some drinks. I have contemplated going out this evening and ruining some lives, but I think I have reigned in the urge as I actually have stuff to do for...

Saturday: Out early to forage for good, buy a new sportcoat and pants. That plaid Dangerfield look is awfully tempting right now. Then as it's Record Store Day, hit the local shop and see what kind of specials they have, check out a new Austrian place for lunch and then wile away the afternoon with booze and music, cooking some sweet sausage and fusili with a tomato cream suace for dinner and sample some new wines.

Sunday: bah

heading out to meetings, sign off on the taxes, then decadent french dinner with my favourite ladies, too much wine, and a drunken debaucherous jam session with said ladies chez moonstarr's studio.

Just make sure you get a blue sportcoat. Look for something with natural shoulders, and sans gold buttons, and it will work with everything you own.

Looking sharp! I'm guessing you used the Hipstamatic app to take that pic. I love it.

Myself, I'm going to enjoy the return of beautiful weather at the skate park and the nearest patio.

We're pretty lucky that both my parents and my in-laws are really helpful. But with the in-laws it's sort of a double-edged sword in that my mother-in-law ends up trying to take over our lives. We end up letting her do it because she does so much stuff to help us out, including watching the baby a lot. She gets really insistent on having us do things her way, and it gets pretty frustrating because, due to the language barrier, I can't even really make the case for doing things our/my way.

Nope, we got a cold wind but nothing fell. Must've been brutal in Lethbridge based on the picures I've seen.

Lots of work I need to finish before Wednesday so I'm working for a good part of the weekend. Right now though, I'm tired and bored and don't feel like working so I'll probably hang around chatzy for awhile and see if anyone shows up

I've got a few more commercials to start/finish editing. This evening I'm laying low, since I've had 2 straight nights of not getting to bed before 2 or 3 and then waking up at 7 for work. My wife hit up a liquor store yesterday and bought me about 12-13 different beers in a mix n' match deal. Probably crack some of those. Watch Sucker Free City and/or Chungking Express.

Tomorrow is Record Store Day and ODDSAC screening in Bmore (see other thread).

I got my haircut and am waiting on my mustache wax to be delivered, once it does, I'll post a photo worthy of LATFH.

I had lunch with friends and attended a Lincoln is a Music City gig at University over the lunch hour.

I'm going out with my brother and all his friends to celebrate his 26th Birthday, which actually occurred last Sunday.

Got some writing to finish up today. Just entered ticket lottery for next year's Final Four (in Houston - with all my Spartans returning next year).

Tomorrow is errands, some NBA playoff hoop, catching a show d'town later on.

Sunday is an ass-on-couch NBA playoffs marathon over at a friend's house. #thegoodlife

I don't blame you.
I think the look will end up somewhere between that and some guy partaking in a Civil War reenactment.

tomorrow - maybe go to circus with kid and going out to dinner with wife later

sunday - looks like good weather, so maybe go to the park or something outside.
