I keep hearing them intermittently on Yahoo! LaunchCAST's Indie Rock station, and I like every song I've heard by them so far. What can any of you tell me about them?

Better late than never, Earl Greyhound opened for our local heroes Mofro last night. I'm glad I got there early because they kicked ass. I can't believe I never heard of them. They are a 3-piece out of Brooklyn. The bass player looks like Betty Davis, the guitarist looks like Jesus and the drummer looks like a pimped out Al Green. Their sound had a classic rock vibe to it. I talked to the bass player after their set and she gave me a card with a link to their new EP. I can post that if anybody is interested.

They're pretty good. Came out with a full length a few years back that was pretty solid. RolledMeat got the description pretty good. One way to describe their sound is T-Rex meets (the good parts) of Wolfmother, with interweaving male/female vocal work.

Yup, that was a good 'un. Definitely an underrated band.

Funny how this one keeps getting resurrected, because now it's me who just found out about them a couple weeks ago. That 1st full-length ( "Soft Targets" ) is fantastic, & their new album just came out last week. It's a bit of a departure for the debut, but it's starting to sink in.

I gotta see these guys live.
