I sort of joined on a whim (after years of zero interest) recently.

Anyway, how do I make it scrobble what gets played on my iphone?

sadly, there isn't a way to do that in real time, though when you sync it up to your itunes, it should then scrobble

Have you checked the market for the last.fm iphone app? Never used an iphone, but I had to download the app on my android before I could start scrobbling. And I'm able to scrobble in real-time.

You can't multitask with iPhones yet, and that's just the 3GS. Is yours jailbroken?

I'm not really worried about it scrobbling in real time but I would like it to when I plug my phone in to itunes.

In the settings it does show my phone, but what i've played on it doesn't show up...something i'm missing.

$6.99

Review - "I have stuck with this app for a dew months now but it just never really works. Not only is background scrobbling totally unreliable but the playback often loses playlists. I want this app to work, but it just doesn't. At $12.99 it is completely overpriced. Don't buy this app."

All of you fail reading comprehension...I don't give a fuck about real time scrobbling. I just want it to show me what i've been playing when i plug into itunes.

Just pretend this is my ipod...nothing to do with the phone.

it should gather info for everything you've been playing, and then update your Last.FM listing each time it's plugged in. if it's not doing that, check for an update, and check all of your preferences.

It's not a matter of reading comprehension; it's an attempt to help more people than just one. You will most likely find that real time scrobbling is better than having to do it manually. The group of people you are soliciting for advice is offering some.

When I had my ipod, I used a program called QT Scrobbler. It made a data file of the plays on the player, then when you connected the ipod, you ran the program in windows and pointed it to the data file and it uploaded all the info to last.fm.

I don't know if it is integrated into iTunes now, but I use an older version of iTunes and I had to download the scrobbler app:

http://www.last.fm/download

Once you link the app to your last.fm account, it can then locate and synchronize your music players for scrobbling.
