I was flipping channels last night and came across the last half of the last song that these guys were playing on the Spanish-language PBS show Sessiones. It froze me mid-flip. And the wife and I both agreed that this was a band that needed further looking into. Just sounded great lying in bed drifting off to sleep last night.

Here is a clip of them on that show:

and another:

Anyone here familiar with them? Like them? Hate them?

Just ordered that one from Amazon. Seems to be the choice of AllMusic, as well. Hopefully it'll hold up.

They've been around for quite some time. Their live performances are loads of fun!

yeah, they are really good live. i'd say on the second tier of rock en espaƱol bands; definitely below cafe tacuba, but totally entertaining. the last album i heard of theirs was in '08. that one is pretty loaded with english songs, including a cover of "mexican radio", and not exactly as great as the two before that.

I've seen them 2-3 times at different music festivals. They are enjoyable enough live but I don't like 'em enough to buy their records or make an effort to go see just them. I'd put them above Cafe Tacuba though who I've never understood the attraction of.

I've got Atlas-if you don't get it, let me know.

Pretty fun stuff, but I haven't listened to it for a while.
