So who wants to critique my team--I'm open to any and all suggestions. I feel like there are some holes, and maybe trading one of my goalies for a better RW or even center. But then again, both those guys will be huge point gatherers hopefully. Also, I keep wondering if I should drop Frolov and pick someone else up.

C - Ryan Getzlaf
C - Jeff Carter
LW - Rick Nash
LW - Patrik Elias
RW - Loui Eriksson
RW - Ales Hemsky
D - Dion Phaneuf
D - Alex Goligoski
D - Sheldon Souray
D - Victor Hedman
BN - Stephen Weiss
BN - Alexander Frolov
BN - Tomas Holmstrom
G - Ryan Miller
G - Roberto Luongo
G - Pascal Leclaire

Probably the two best goaltenders in the league if you ask me. Consider losing Leclaire.

Hedman is a big "if", in my opinion. Not only is he young but he's going to be playing with a large amount of new forwards in a system that no one else really plays and they've had about a week to learn it so far). High HIGH risk, high reward. So, if TB fails at executing it, then his stats could suffer. It's a 1-3-1 system which leaves a LOT of back-end exposure so who knows about him...he's been good so far though.

I don't think you have any prolific scorers though so a trade or two to get one more guaranteed may help out. Though Carter and Elias are pretty consistent. Otherwise I'd say it's pretty decent.

It's always a crapshoot, but I wouldn't want to go into a pool with that team. Miller and Luongo should make a good goalie tandem, but after that you look unflaggingly middle of the pack. Hope that Elias is awakened by the presence of Kovalchuk, that Hemsky stays healthy (and that the Oilers win more than ten games), that Phaneuf at least gets you some penalty minutes, and that Souray even plays. Carter and Nash are solid picks, Getzlaf dependable, but the rest IMO are italicized question marks.

So, I ended up winning the league. Interesting how I really thought I wouldn't have a chance and it ended up being a pretty great and solid season.

I am shocked by this. What the hell kind of teams did the other people in the league have? haha

Hell, Souray has been in Hershey for half the season in the AHL!

Yeah, actually there were some changes that I guess I didn't realize when I posted the follow-up. Obviously, having 3 consistent goalies was a big help. Souray was obviously nixed. As for the other teams, I was actually in 3-5th place consistently until probably the final 2 mos. where I was no. 2, then in the final week I had a series with the no.1 team and won, moving me to the no.1 seed overall. Rode it all the way into the finals.

Here's the roster:

Ryan Getzlaf
Jeff Carter
Rick Nash
Patrik Elias
Loui Eriksson
Tomas Holmstrom
Dion Phaneuf
Cody Franson
Victor Hedman
Alex Goligoski
Stephen Weiss
Mike Knuble
Kurtis Foster
Alexander Frolov (IR)
Tim Thomas
Ryan Miller
Roberto Luongo

I like that you lost Leclaire and Souray and got Knuble and Thomas. haha. How did you manage to get Tim Thomas? Seems like whoever had him wouldn't want to let him go?

He was a FA and I picked him up around the middle of the 2nd week.

Knuble was a late addition. Probably in the final 2 weeks of the season. I forget who I got rid of.
