Looks to be an hilarious Adult Swim-esque animated spy cartoon. FX at 9 central.

Was there a sneak preview in December or a while-ish ago at least? I'm down, regardless.

Wasn't able to watch last night, so will have to check out the TiVo over the weekend.

This was absolutely freakin' hilarious. There were 2 episodes last night, maybe pilot + episode 1. I'm going to have to re watch these, as the one-liners come one right after the other.

So I never even got around to DVRing this when it was on, but just watched the first season in its entirety today and it's pretty freaking great.

I like the in-jokes that are thrown in every once in a while and it just looks nice and flows smoothly. I was thoroughly entertained when I needed a good distraction.

Yeah, it's probably the funniest show I've seen in a while. Was this cancelled or did it get a second season? Seems like there was some discussion around this in the Netflix thread...

The last news I heard was that (despite unimpressive ratings) it was picked up for a second season to being airing in 2011.

in the meantime, if you're not watching Louie, you're missing out on some funny shit.

I think he's the best stand up comedian alive, but this shows been a little hit and miss for me, the hits are absolutely hilarious though. Like the coffee shop scene...

I haven't been too wowed by the series in general, even though I typically like Louis C.K., but the episode he did last night was one of the best things I've seen in years. It was funny, tense and poignant. Really struck a nerve with me.

I like Louis, but he's also one of the most joyless comedians I've ever seen.

incidentally, Children's Hospital and Delocated both start their second seasons this weekend.

I think a lot of stand up comedians are like that...the good ones at least. I'm mean, Carlin, Pryor, Lewis Black...those guys are pretty surly. I'd prefer my stand-up comedians be like that rather than super cheery and giddy.

well, there's a difference between angry or surly and joyless. I wouldn't say that Pryor was either, at least not at his best. Arguably the same for Carlin. Lewis Black... well, that's all he has.

I expect a comedian to be self-depreciating and a little miserable, but something about hate-filled just makes me bored. Might be why David Cross's standup stopped being funny around 2003.
