I just ate one of these:

And it was GOOOD.

But generally, Hormel products scare the crap out of me.

Puts me in mind of the Phil Hendrie Art Bell spoof with the Human Waste Chili Maker.

whatever snobs...I don't eat it often, yes I prefer to make it myself, but for a tamale pie, this works just fine.

There was a time in college where I'd have a couple cans around in case of emergency. I'd water it down and add crackers and cheddar cheese.

I tried it a few years ago well past college and was horrified.

I don't judge though. I still like Totino's frozen pizzas over almost any frozen pizza you can buy at a grocery store. Just tastes comforting for some reason.

Taco Bell's cheesy beefy (or something) burritos are disgustingly delicious.

A grandfather of mine used to eat Hormel something, I've been told, but I've never tried any of their products.

A roomate and I once tried to see who could subsist the longest on ONLY Tomatinos. I think we each lasted well over a week.

The prize was lunch at T Stand, if I recall.

I tried this once. Didn't enjoy it. Unless you call going "oh fuck I can't believe I just swallowed that" is "enjoyment."

I buy the generic chili with no beans and make chili dogs. I tend to think meals like that posted above and things like easy mac taste even worse than their namesake products you have to make yourself or atleast use a can opener to prepare.

If I'm gonna eat canned chili, Hormel is top shelf. Pop open a can of that Wolf and see what comes out.

On the other hand, you highbrows act like this is nasty. Come home to me and my grandpa eating Vienna Sausage or Potted Meat and crackers.
MMMMMM... + I still absolutely love Hog Head Cheese.
