I will further my thesis by stating that I think Ray Davies has the most expressive voice. So fragile. Just ask Wes Anderson.

And the Beatles are so force-fed to us by the baby boomer generation. I mean, I like them a lot and all, but the Kinks shouldn't be over-shadowed.

I'd rather listen to The Kinks any day. And yeah, Village Green is pretty much perfect.

That doesn't really mean I think they're better than The Beatles, though.

i dont think these two groups are immediately comparable, regardless of their many similarities. the beatles took way more drugs than the kinks ever did, and the beatles ended up living their lives in a fishbowl. however, if forced to compare both groups i would say that the kinks are at least equals to the beatles.

also, yes, that is the kinks are the village green preservation society (full name).
