I never put a lot of stock in NME lists, but its fun nonetheless. I think some of you will probably agree with no. 1, though.

some of these are good choices but they're a little behind. that smith westerns came out last year.

I think its just a take on bands who have made an impact this year, not necessarily who have put out a record.

I know the guys from number 17 on that list. My band recorded an EP under their house.

They're not really my cup of tea, but it's good to see a small town (and small country...) band get this sort of press.

I like that Marina and the Diamonds, good dance pop.
