You voted for Dole???

Seriously though, I like the list. I still love Achtung Baby no matter that U2 has betrayed me the last 10 years.

Teenager of the Year, eh? This is the one of the reasons why I started reading the cmj bb (and then here). Someone will post an album like this as their number one, that I personally never really gave much thought to. Now I'm going to dig it out and have to re-listen to it again.

What are your thoughts on his other solo stuff?

'Ten' instead of 'VS'.

Definitely Maybe along with What's the Story

Dusk at a Cubist Castle would be in my top 10

Add: Purple-Stone Temple Pilots

Subtract: Music -311

Edit: Were Loveless and Stone Roses 1989 or 1990? Or are you not including 1990?

im a pretty big fan of it; i was glad that after "The Cult of Ray" (which i think is his weakest) he switched to the Catholics cncept:

All of the Catholics albums are recorded "live" (!) in the studio to two track tape with zero overdubs--an incredible feat these days (consider #2 on my list being the polar opposite) and really cool on albums like Black Letter Days where on a given track there may be 2 or three guitars, bass two (2!) pedal steels, drums and lead & backing vocals all being recorded live in studio....Hooking back up with Eric Drew Feldman was a good idea too.

i think that frank is a talented songwriter still good enough to write a true gem or two per record AND a guy who a. operates under the radar and b. is still enough of an artist to indulge his various...well, indulgences...

streching a bit cause both EPs were released 88/89, which is why i put Repeater on the list not 13 Songs.

People should really learn to follow the rules...

I've been trying to make a top 30 albums of the 90s for quite some time. I think I gave up. I think I can probably do top 5 though:

1. Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the 36 Chambers
2. Radiohead - The Bends
3. Boards Of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children
4. Wilco - Summerteeth
5. Oasis - Definitely Maybe

...shit, that's not true, probably.
