Let's hope 2010 is a better year for those who found 2009 to be underwhelming. Personally, I thought 2009 was fine with 4 albums I truly loved and several more that I liked.

Judging by some of the upcoming releases, including albums from Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, Spoon, etc., 2010 will at least have interesting discussions.

Leaked albums so far include Eel, Liars, and Hot Chip.

So far, the Surfer Blood album is the best 2010 release i've heard. Every track is fucking great.

The Beach House album is stellar as well.

Delphic - Acolyte is a fun listen.

Broken Bells is getting a lot of plays from me.

if the Vampire Weekend album sounds a lot like the single "Cousins", it's going to be pretty fantastic.

Dalen, if you're a VW fan, did you hear The Very Best w/ Ezra Koenig song "The Warm Heart of Africa" (off the album with the same name)? It's great.

I heard a "new" song when VW played on Jimmy Kimmel like 6 months ago, and it didn't float m boat, but i'm still looking forward to the album.

This reminded me there's a pretty recent Clem Snide session over at Daytrotter. Reworkings of older tracks and a new track off this upcoming album.

Jason Falkner's All Quiet On The Noise Front is my fave thing he's done since the Grays. Released in Japan this year, apparently due in N.A. in '10.
