Arcade Fire at no. 1 is abomination. Vampire Weekend as the highest-placing metal album is the tits. Glad to see Hot Chip doing well.

& Joanna Newsome is criminally underrated.

Rough Trade had their list out weeks ago.

I've got 4 albums on that Q list, one of which I don't think should be on an end of year list and another of which I've never actually listened to despite having bought a hard copy of it.

I've been wanting to listen to that John Grant album but never got around to seeking it out. The only album in the top 20 I like is the Black Keys. That MGMT album is a huge gigantic turd. And I loved the first record.

Weird...that's not by any means an obscure list but I haven't heard a single thing on it.

While there are quite a few excellent records in there, Q seem to enjoy some very mediocre releases this year.

I read an interview with the guys in Interpol, and they claim it takes about 10 complete listens to let the hooks completely sink in. I got to about the 3rd or so listen and decided I didn't want the hooks to sink in.

I'm sorta shocked The Coral are still making records.

I like the John Grant record a lot... just can't find it in a local store. Will probably share four of the same top eleven (Arcade Fire, Marling, National, Black Keys)
