 Post subject: Any Jazz Fans in ATL?

On the off chance that any of you ATL denizens are into jazz, this is a good friend of mine for many years, playing gratis up there a couple times this month. If you catch one of his shows, you will not be disappointed. World class horn player.

Thanks for the heads up Toze. Looks like a pretty cool spot and you certainly can't beat FREE.

I might have to hit one of those nights. Could be a good evening of something a little more high brow.

As for the West End, I work about 2-3 miles from there and have to go through there on occasion. There have been some pretty heroic efforts done over there and nearby Castleberry Hill with regards to development. It's gone from an area you wouldn't want to drive through 5 years ago to a place starting to turn it around with new independent businesses, solid restaurants, and some modern housing.

Still, I get where Dave is coming from. It's still surrounded by areas that are still mired in an endless cycle of poverty and all that that entails.
