BPB was pretty good, I thought. I haven't listened to it since the beginning of the year, though. Just forgot about it.

I really like that Mynabirds album. More than I should - it might be top 5.

I think what helps it is that it's so short.

There is no #9. I hate 9.

4) Mary Gauthier~ The Foundling- Still my favorite lesbian singer/songwriter.


3) Two Cow Garage~ Sweet Saint Me- Maybe not a TOTAL surprise relative to their previous albums, but considerably more than an
incremental progression. Blasting-down-I-95-in-a-drop-top-442 music.


2) Bobby Bare Jr.~ A Storm, A Tree, My Mother's Head- Wherein the artist moves beyond the songs of wry observation where he lived up until now.


1) Josh Ritter~ So Runs The World Away- So runs the album away from the rest of the pack.

i listened to the mynabirds a lot this summer, an automatic default selection. top 10 for me.

definitely more people who should listen to the trampled by turtles record.

also that Jakob Dylan was a huge surprise for me, really excellent.

i like that ben solee record too. it'll probably make my top 20.

Glad to see that Mary Gauthier so high. It's easily the best 2010 release I've heard and the best thing I've heard by her.

I've been meaning to check out that Mynabirds and now have downloaded it thanks to bloor. I still need to get around to listening to that Richard Thompson. I've had it for months just haven't listened yet.

I think I must be the only person who isn't impressed by the new BBJ. I don't hate it but I've considered deleting it and eventually will if it doesn't grow on me any more than it has so far.

Not seeing David Olney on the list reminds me that I think I was supposed to up it for you. You still want me to do that or have you heard it? It's not one of the better Olney albums I've heard so I'm not sure I should assume that it not making your list means you haven't heard it.

Not sure, but I went looking for it on my music HD and didn't see it, and I know I haven't heard it.

Another record I've been meaning to check out but simply haven't gotten around to it. My loss, I'm sure.
