Do you like it? What sort of interface do you use with your mp3's or whatever is stored on your computer. (like itunes)

I'm about to start a multiple week journey into researching a new phone so this isn't the last you'll hear of me on this topic.

i don't really listen to a lot of music on my phone. would rather save the space for other apps. i just use the stock music player when i do.

i do have pandora on it though.

The last.fm app is so much better.

Yail, I use a player called Cubed on Android. I'd highly recommend it.

My contract is up in the middle of February, so I'm doing my due diligence: I'd love to stay with the Iphone since I've been more or less completely satisfied, but I feel like there are some Android phones out there now that might make me as happy.

A huge part of the consideration is AT&T, not with the service (which I generally have zero problems with), but the price; plus I've now been with them for four consecutive years and seven of the last eleven. Time to play the field.

He was about as faithful to that as he has been with anything else in his life.

yeah, switched to iPhone 4. my device could not handle the amount of emails/txts/net stuff i was doing (especially when starting the label), and there wasn't anything up to par on TMO at the time, so i switched. Rick kind of convinced me actually.

i still follow Android though. love seeing what they'll come up with next. thinking about getting my pops the next gen Nook after hearing it's going to have Android OS.

For music apps out there, Winamp is pretty slick. (I use KISS music player because it shuffles the songs pretty well.) Both of these players use the id3 tags, so your files have to be perfect or it's a mess to search for music.

I personally like the folder based players so you can sort by filename via folders. (This is how I have my mp3 library set up, so I can just drag and drop album folders.) The best players for this are mortplayer (tends to be a resource hog) and tiny player (which has limited file types it can play, but the app is tiny and efficient with resources.)

All of them will scrobble your tracks if you want, except tiny player.

I just installed Doubletwist, but I haven't used it much yet. It has a wireless sync add-on, but I haven't bought it. $5, I think.

I hated Cubed. On my phone it was unresponsive and about half the visual effects were pointless.

Doublesync was a failed, miserable turd on my machine... a complete software FAIL. Avoid like the plague.

I was using Meridian to play Apple Lossless files on my G1 but after a recent app update those files now skip if I attempt to do other things on my phone while they're playing. I'm getting a new phone in the next few months.
